Who We Are
Critical Mission Computing is the brainchild of Bromley based software expert Alka Bagga. Alka has over 30 years’ experience encompassing lecturing, planning and executing corporate projects and working with SMEs. She leads a team of experts in website design and development, e-commerce web development, mobile Apps and digital marketing. Since the tools and techniques are constantly evolving, the team works with website builders like WordPress, Web Flow, Magento, Shopify, Woo Commerce, Ionic, Flutter, Laravel, Cake PHP and Dot Net, to name a few.
Alka with a passion and aptitude for all things software related. She shone through all the projects undertaken, whether big, medium or small.
Having moved to England in the 1990s, Alka established Critical Mission Computing in 1999. Her early career highlights include:
- Being the only woman (out of 500 applicants) to make it through the one year intensive British Airways software engineering course
- Writing a system for Bromley Council to address the red route and parking
- Writing trading floor systems and supporting the back office at Investment Bank, Kleinwort Benson
- Working on Millennium preparations for global financial services company, Nomura.
Currently, Alka heads a team of 40+ professionals. The CMC team includes web developers, mobile App designers, digital marketing experts, a technical team and several project managers to oversee client work which generally spans more than one area of expertise. Alka is the point of contact for all clients. She brings an unmistakable mix of technical knowhow, business understanding and calm efficiency to help every project cross the finish line timely.
